Νέο album από τους Blonde Redhead!

Καιρός ήταν, έχουν περάσει πάνω από 3 χρόνια από το "23", την προηγούμενη δουλειά των Blonde Redhead. Στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου 2010 θα κυκλοφορήσει ο νέος τους δίσκος με τίτλο "Penny Sparkle", για άλλη μια φορά από την 4AD Records. Ηχογραφημένο στην Νέα Υόρκη και στην Στοκχόλμη, οι Blonde Redhead συνεργάστηκαν με τους παραγωγούς της Fever Ray, Van Rivers and the Subliminal Kid, ενώ την μίξη έκανε ο γνωστός μας Alan Moulder, όπως και στο 23...

Το ενδιαφέρον εστιάζεται στην επίδραση που μπορεί να έχουν οι συγκεκριμένοι παραγωγοί στον ήχο των Blonde Redhead, κρίνοντας από το background τους λογικά θα υπάρχουν αρκετά synthesizers, κάτι που φαίνεται και στο opening track του album. Μιλάμε για το πολύ καλό "Here Sometimes", το οποίο μπορείτε να ακούσετε πιο κάτω ή να το κατεβάσετε δωρεάν από την official σελίδα των Blonde Redhead. Το album θα κυκλοφορήσει και σε deluxe έκδοση, αριστερά βλέπετε το εξώφυλλο, ενώ η τραγουδίστρια του συγκροτήματος, Kazu Mazino, δήλωσε σχετικά με το Penny Sparkle:

"I fell in love with the music like falling for someone you've known for a long time. It was dreamy and sometimes was very stormy. At times I felt like a shepherd who was trying to herd five stallions into a yard (unsuccessfully). I felt like I was a link to everyone. I remained still and the others were constantly moving around it. I am not sure what Penny Sparkle is but I hope I offered to them as much as they offered me. I know that we have never made a record this way and if I could go back in time, I would do it exactly the same way again."
